Alpha’s Claim Series

This is a series, called Alpha’s Claim. There are five books (it says six on Amazon, but I swear book 5 and 6 are the same) written by Addison Cain.

The genre is paranormal, dark romance and is written in first person POV from the heroine and anti-hero perspective.

I give this series a 3.5 out of 5. This is another series that was written as a saga. Did I mention I don’t love sagas? I know…I know…though I dislike them you’ll be seeing a lot of them because that’s what I’ve been reading. Not intentionally, but if a book is written well enough I’ll keep reading.

This series was…questionable in some ways. If you’re new to the concept of Omega Verse, go check out this post: https://nataliereads.com/2024/05/22/omegaverse-what-the-hell-is-it/

General Thoughts/Spoilers:

  1. Okay, look…I like a good Omegaverse story, it’s fun to get lost in a dystopian universe where there are clear-cut expectations for roles and gender and then rub your hands in glee as the roles crumble under a strong heroine…hopefully. But some of the scenes were just questionable. The forcing of sex and drug inducement for pregnancy was a little much. This is my biggest reason for giving it the score I did.
  2. It was well-written and character development and growth had me continue the journey it wasn’t like Grey’s Anatomy where people don’t learn -_- (I know…I’m spicy in this post)
  3. The sex scenes were hot
  4. The series ended with implications of continuing with other characters…but honestly, I don’t think I can do it. I really want a book that is just going to end and not have 5-7 books for that character to have their happily ever after
