Captivated, by Tessa Bailey and Eva Dangerfield is a 351-page contemporary romance novel. It is written from a third-person POV, two-sided.
Oh Tessa…she’s my go to author when I want to be inspired on how to make my sex scenes dirty. So yeah, heat level is definitely a 5 for explicit af. This is the first time I’ve read a book where she co-authored so it was interesting see the difference in style that blended.

Autumn is a pigeon saving, aspiring comedian who works her day job as a veterinarian. She moved to NYC from Australia, following her boyfriend who decided he wanted to “make it big” by joining a comedy troupe. Of course he cheated on her, because he’s a “star”. She did the smart thing by kicking his sorry ass out of her apartment that he wasn’t even helping pay for since he didn’t make any money. The story starts with her drawing very dirty things of her and her landlord, Blake.
Blake is like an old grumpy man who holes himself up in his apartment and apparently only travels in the evening like a mole. He had an immediate attraction to his tenant when she moved in and thought her boyfriend was incredibly douchey. He was secretly pleased when he found out that the boyfriend no longer lives with Autumn. One day he went up to visit her apartment to find out where her rent check was, she ended up giving him a piece of paper with a very dirty drawing of Blake dominating her. Let the chase ensue…
Overall, the characters were likeable and hilarious. And with the co-authoring I’m definitely interested in reading some of Eva’s work.
In summary, I give this a 5 out of 5. I plan to read the other two books.
