Good Girls Say Yes, by Penny Wylder is a 292-page contemporary romance novel. It is written from a first-person POV, one-sided, the heroine.
Here’s the thing about Penny Wylder, her books are dirty and fun. Don’t expect some great character arc for both protagonists, especially since this one-sided. Heat level is a definite five.

First let’s be real about what this story is really about, I’d put this in the section of, almost coming of age. Where a woman who is not into the scene, but learns that she has a strong lean towards being submissive. The story follows her through this transition to acceptance of what she likes. I mean, it isn’t a handbook, but there’s lots of great sex scenes, if that helps.
Emma works in marketing as a junior level, something or other. To be honest, it’s not important. Her job is mentioned like three times. The book starts off with her attending her friend’s wedding who apparently is in the BDSM scene, and this is Emma’s first time learning about it. She’s appalled and turned on, all at once, it’s obvious which emotion plays out. She meets Matthew who insists that she is a natural sub, but she fights it. So he makes a bargain with her, if he can make her come within fifteen minutes she has to stay with him as his sub for three days. Then if she enjoys the three days? Well, she’s his for thirty days.
Matthew…well who the hell knows what he does? All we know is he’s rich and he’s deep into the BDSM scene. He’s a really kind dom, the book doesn’t go into the aftercare aspect of their relationship, but I have to assume that he does it.
Overall, if I was into the scene, I’d like Matthew to be my dom.
In summary, I give this a 3 out of 5. I know what to expect out of Penny, so if you’re looking for heartwarming, this is not the book for you…but if you’re looking for some hot sex scenes and you’re into BDSM (not in the scene, but it doesn’t bother you), this is a good read.
